Berserk 11.
The next release of this remarkable engine. The results leave no doubt - a sure number 3 on the list of the strongest !
I also tested Berserk 11.1, which after playing 1552 games (they are available for download below) turned out to be 6 Elo points weaker than Berserk 11. I decided to leave the strongest version, i.e. Berserk 11, on the list.
Stockfish in its development version as of February 23, 2023.
This is a significant speed increase on Macs equipped with Apple Silicon processors -> +18% over the last official release of Stockfish 15.1. This is reflected in the rating, this version of the engine is stronger by 10 Elo points. Details can be found in this post.
MCERL is not just a list of the strongest engines. In our list you will also find other interesting engines that are appearing for Mac in increasing numbers.
I warmly welcome Viridithas, Cheng, 4ku and many other chess engines that first appeared in MCERL or were released in newer versions, such as Velvet 5.1.0.
